Topic: Innovative Approach to the Research Field with Digital PCR Technology: QuantStudioTM Absolute QTM Digital PCR System
Digital PCR (dPCR) is a method of quantifying nucleic acid targets without standard curves by dividing the bulk reaction into thousands of smaller, independent reactions.
dPCR is a complementary tool to real-time PCR (qPCR) and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS). It is the best fit solution if absolute quantitation, precise measurement of low-abundance targets, or evaluating small changes over time is a requirement, while qPCR is better suited if only a relative quantitation is sufficient, the user is capturing concentration snapshots, or if a large dynamic range is required.
Digital PCR (dPCR) is quickly becoming the new gold standard in precise nucleic acid quantitation as a groundbreaking technology. In this presentation, we will cover how dPCR can be leveraged to provide higher precision measurements for rare target quantification, copy-number-variation (CNV), gene expression, and more.
